Choices

I'm beginning work on a huge project... seriously, it's gigantic and a bit overwhelming, but I gotta press on. The first step needs to be picking a focus fabric. I am looking for a commercial print, mostly mono-chromatic, somewhat unique and inspiring. I pulled these seven choices from my stash.
Then I let them sit on my ironing board and fight it out.

These three were left after the brutal elimination round.
I suppose it's not surprising that I kept a green and a purple. How did that yellow find it's way into my heart? Yellow! Which would you find most inspiring if you were beginning a new project?

I like the purple trees but are they too literal?

I like the yellow and the purple. I particularly like that the yellow has other colors in it that you could eventually highlight in your project. But, the purple is nice and graphic and is just such a pretty color.

The yellow. It has a grid and asymmetrical growth. The possibilities don't seem so contained.

I thought the green looked like you, so I wasn't surprised to see it in the final three. I love all three colors together.

I love the yellow with all it's other subtle colors and it's big bold design. The green fabric has the least "power" or appeal to me.

Tough call, since the scale is so different but on color alone I'd pick either the purple or yellow.

The center purple fabric reminded me most of you given the other things I have seen you create and share with us.

I picked the purple before I saw the 3 finalists...it just grabs the eye. and is so very you, between the color and the trees....if it's for something big and it's the focus...which ever you choose, you'll either love it more or hate it completely by the end (e.g. better pick the one you want to spend the most time with....)

I'm voting for the purple trees too. I liked it the best in even in the first pic!

When I saw the first selection, the purple trees stood out. They reminded me of you based on art you have shared. The green trees is the most monochromatic and it is interesting. It also has a less controled pattern which would be easier to incorporate. I fear the yellow might cause you problems when you try to add other colors. I also think the green in the upper right on the first photo with the purple trees might be an interesting combo. Have fun whatever you choose!
