More NY Adventures

Just a few more pictures from our trip to visit Grma and Grpa in NY.

We drove into Buffalo to explore a bit -- but mostly to stop at Grandpa's favorite food truck: The Cheesy Chick. Wow... those were some delicious grilled cheese sandwiches.

We walked along the canal and found a recreation booth where you could check out various games. We borrowed a ladderball game and we all had a great time trying to beat Benjamin...

Except Claire who still wasn't feeling great.

Then we visited the Buffalo Botanical Gardens, which are mostly inside this stunning building.

Beware topiary T-Rex!

It was a lovely place. Somewhat run down and in need of upkeep and attention -- and probably money. This is actually much like the whole city of Buffalo which has struggled with lots of economic and political issues over the past several years.

Benjamin found an "old man cactus" that he included in a recently science report.

We visited the Lockport Nature Trail. It was a beautiful trail in a lovely area... we were a bit perplexed by the map. No names were marked on the various loops of the trail.

We did find this wonderful little waterfall.
