Our new home...
We're moving to Lewisville, TX.
The first week in January, Jeff and I took a trip to make some decisions on our new home. (We went house hunting in September and decided to build a home.) While we were there, they poured the foundation for our new home. I carved our initials into the driveway. I think this is a great start!
It looks like we'll be leaving Maine on February 16. Then we'll live in a furnished apartment for a few months and our new home should be done by the end of April.
This could definetely cramp my creative output. Oh well... I'll get creative in other ways.

It'll be beautiful. You'll have a studio that will be the envy of us all around the globe. You'll have brilliant children and make incredible art.
WAHNNNN HANNNNNNH HANNNH we don' want you to go-o-o-o-o-o-o!!!!!
Now that that is out of my system, I'll come visit. I'll wish you the best (with all sincerity and joy, and for once not a dose of sarcasm!). But....Now I'm gonna go pout in my corner for a while, but at least I'll know you'll have more wonderful art quilters in Texas, and we can meet in Houston.
What's the quilters' prayer: I'll meet you next year in Houston?
Sigh and hugs,
Sarah
What a huge transition, probably sad and terribly exciting at the same time for you! I can't wait to follow your journey and she what things bringfor you there!! Best of luck in the coming month of change!
contgrats deborah and good luck on your new move. i am so happy to see your full blog now. up until now there were only a few entries when i clicked on your picture.
Wow! This is exciting news! I hope this means that you and Jeff will get to plan the house exactly as you want it, with lots of play areas for the kids and a great creative space for you. What a grand adventure Texas will be for you all! And there's always LL Bean just a phone call away...
I wonder which one of us will be in our new studio first? I do know that I do not want to build a house. Been there, done that. Can't wait to see your new digs! Are the kids excited?
Be sure to pack a creative kit for the apartment just in case. I ended up doing a lot of sewing during the 3 months we lived in the trailer by the tracks waiting for our home to be built. Everything else was so frustrating that sewing turned out to be a much-needed distraction. Best of luck with the move and in your new home!
