New Year's in Chicago

After Christmas, we took a quick trip to Chicago where we met Jeff's parents plus his sister and brother in law and our niece and nephew. It was a super fun time!

Riding the bus!

We loved the Field Museum. It was my favorite of all the places we visited.

Of course, we had to have Chicago style pizza. It was so good! There is nothing like that crust.

On Sunday we went to this beautiful church.
Every inch of the walls were covered with amazing stencils. STENCILS not wall paper! A different motif in each area. Our family made up 20% of the entire congregation. (Claire did the counting and the math.)

Waiting to see a 3D movie at the Shedd Aquarium.

We saw lots of beautiful jellies at the aquarium.

Super cool vortex exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry.

We had sushi one night. Isn't this dragon roll just the cutest thing you've ever seen? Tasty too!

Apparently I didn't take any pictures, but we also visited the Adler Planetarium. The "Welcome to the Universe" show in the planetarium was excellent! The highlight of all the shows we saw! Four Museums in three days.

Looks like your family had lots of fun! Can you believe I've never been there? Someday soon... BTW, the CAPTCHA for my post was "titseed." Really.

Ah, Chicago -- where I grew up and went to school. I love Chicago. So glad you had fun and weren't overwhelmed by very windy and/or cold days!
