Street Art in Paris

I think these images and little vignettes made as big an impression on me as did Notre Dam, the Louvre and other major landmarks. Paris is a beautiful city.

Here are Jeff and Claire is the cafe of the Halle Saint Pierre, a museum dedicated to outsider artist. No pictures were allowed, so this is a sneaky image snapped with my phone.

Beautiful tile and cobblestone street everywhere.

I love this mural and the continuing bits of blue in the street signs.

My family thought this was super funny!

(It's just a stencil painted on top of the No Entry sign to look like a person carrying a heavy object.) See it?

Love the contrast here of a portrait done with some kind of pencil and the tag done with spray paint.

We saw many of these pixelated bits of street art made with tiles throughout Paris. Apparently they are by the famous street artist, Invader.

I keep meaning to watch Exit Through the Gift Shop, a documentary about street artist Banksy. Apparently, Invader is also included. If I'd watched it, I might have appreciated these little design more!

Did this start as a bit of street art? Or a advertising poster? I'm not sure, but it certainly is more interesting because of the layers that have been added or ripped away.
