Park Pics

There is a beautiful new park across the street from the convention center in Houston.

I scooted out from under this sculpture just before it started spraying. Whew!

I guess you gotta have rules.

I think these two structures are entrances to the underground parking garage. Cool....

What a great park! But really -- no running, no horseplay, no dogs -- then all that water is spraying out of the ground? What do they think kids will do, stroll calmly? Sheesh. And I tell you, the "no sitting on the jets" makes me want to park myself right down on one, thank you very much. It's curious to me that an installation that is fun and wet and invites play comes with instructions NOT to play. Someone who doesn't know kids must have decided to put this in, huh?!?! And our lab Gemma would be making a beeline for that thing, I can tell you. We'd probably break all the rules in 2 minutes.
