Oh envy envy envy....a kitchen with lots of cabinets and counterspace!!!! Can't wait to see MORE PHOTOS (hint hint..teehee!), and the continuing progress.
Are the kids excited? Or do they not get to see the house as often? When we built our house on San Juan Island, we'd go out at quitting time (so as not to be in the way) Mon., Weds., and Friday, and on Fridays I'd take brownies or cookies....it was a local, know your builders as neighbors kinda place, not huge and impersonal like Dallas.... so it was fun. Steve, the carpenter, talked about the cinnamon rolls I made from scratch for several years (and ended up marrying one of the quilters about 5 years after building our hosue!)....
I can't even relate to having a home built for me, much less living in American again. I would even move to Texas for the privilege! I just got a bunch of people angry with me, didn't I? Gotta be so careful what you blog. But seriously, I will NOT be thinking about your new digs as I am contemplating moving out of our tiny little apartment to who knows where. Enjoy, and make lots of art for the walls!
And where is my room? I love the color of the cabinets just as they are. I hope they stay that way. I am so happy for you..did I mention that before? OK I continue to be so happy for you.
It must be that I am living vicariously through you.. and you are so much younger. NO wonder I am feeling so great!

What color are the cabinets going to be? That's a great place to make brownies!
I like the place for art quilts also. I'm green with envy--in a nice way!
OH, come now. I can't wait to see your latest quilt. Love your kitchen. Happy Day, Hannah

Nice embroidery...I thought it was a postcardwith an eye-catching diagonal design. I'm staying tuned!
