Thank you for such enthusiastic comments on the small art quilts I created with Terri's stencils. I am thrilled to hear that you were inspired.
Random Number Generator spit out the winner...
Congratulations, Linda! You win a set of Waves and Spinners stencils.
By the way, both the small art quilts are now up in my Etsy shop.
Can I tell you a secret?
A couple of you mentioned that you thought it was cool that I used the "waves" stencil vertically. In truth, I never even considered using it horizontally. Not until I looked back at Terri's images did I even realize it's presented as a horizontal image. Of course, they can be used either way (or even diagonally)! But, isn't it interesting that we naturally are drawn to a particularly orientation?

Oh, awesome! Thanks Deborah! What a nice way to start the morning.
Congrats to Linda. And a big thank you to Deborah for helping me with the blog hop.
Congratulations Linda! Deborah, I love your quiltlets. I too found it interesting how we sometimes forget to look at things with a different orientation. Thanks so much for sharing your techniques AND for the review of the soups. My goal this winter is to learn how to make good, hearty soup. Thanks!
Wow ! I found your work through Mary Beth Shaw of Stencil Girl studios. It is wonderful !!! And your use of those funky stencils is remarkable too.
Wow! Truly remarkable and beautiful work, Deborah!
I think sometimes we see what we know, and you incorporate plants in your landscapes, in the vertical lines waves looks more plant than water... maybe you saw waves of grain...
