Tall Plants...

When we were in Phoenix over Spring Break, we took a side trip to the botanical gardens. It was a great afternoon. I am especially drawn to tall, stalky shapes and I took pictures of several to add to my inspiration folder.





We don't have plants like this is Maryland!

You could probably grow the Yucca plant (the second picture). It seems to do OK here in Massachusetts, so Maryland should be fine. They are amazing when in bloom.

Deborah - I took some pics of some weird looking things in San Francisco last month. They are some kind of tree, but it was too early for them to have leaves. wonky & weird! They're in my FB photos.

I lived in New Mexico as a kid, and the landscape is so different that Maryland. Thanks for a reminder of the silver-greens. I like variety, makes life interesting. I love the last photo - great branches!
