Each panel has one bit of handwriting but in a different place in each panel. Each panel has one main fused composition element -- the houses, the small trees, and the large tree. Each panel will get one beaded element (since the project is for a book about quilting with beads). And I think there will be one spot of free embroidery in each panel. The contrast is also much improved on this version. Don't you think?

The composition looks pleasing. It seems to flow from panel to panel yet keeping each panel as a work in its own right. I love the varied placement of the text! Very nice!
The composition is more dynamic now too (oh, I see Karen beat me to the punch saying that). Anyways, good for you to start over fresh and revitalized instead of laboring over something you weren't satisfied with. You projects for the book will be fabulous!

Because I am wicked and a coward, I'm tagging you too...I figure you can do double-duty for Lisa (who also tagged me!) and me...
and I like it.... I like the fact that the overall composition is asymmetrical... the large purple hill crested in the center of the other one, and I like the sort of angles / "Z" movement in this one.
Maybe the components of the other one could make stronger individual little pieces, or staggered vertically, not in order, and work together that way?????
