Isn't the curve of this horn just perfection?
I wish I would have taken a thousand more shots to get just the right angle. We saw these long horn in a pasture just off the side of the road in Plano last week. Of course, there was a fence between me and the bull. I stuck the lens through the links.
This picture reminds me of what I find inspiring. It's the line. Others are moved by the beauty of flowers or beaches or animals. I'm much more interested in the shape of the leaf or the pattern of the rocks on the shore... or the curve of the horn.

I'm with you!! Finding a design element in an unusual place.
what a cool way to define your creative 'spark' in terms of inspirational source and motivation. Mine's definitely color. If the color's there, I enjoy the treasure hunt of figuring out how the other design elements define themselves AS color. But I never thought about it before, at least not in such a constructive way.
Deborah, your curved horn today reminds me of the line of a friendship, maturing through the years, twisting and turning gracefully, yet pointing always toward a future of shared hope and companionship! Thank you. Lucy
It's a beautiful line!
I get it.
and that appreciation is why you had the particular painting over your fireplace, name of which I cannot remember (been trying for a day now). The original is at the Eric Carle museum in Northampton, Mass, remember?
