Exciting!

Look what's underway in Texas.

We are feeling so excited and lucky (when we're not feeling sad about leaving Maine, of course).

Jeff was in Texas to do a walk through of our new home before they start putting up the sheet rock. If there were any problems, they would be easier to fix before the walls go up. Duh. There were a few changes to be made, but nothing major.

Those two tall windows on the right will be my studio. And that bump out on the very right with the hole with no window in it will be the studio closet. This makes me so happy!

Mostly I'm happy about a new chapter in our lives, new opportunities, new experiences and a chance to make a loving, warm, comfortable, welcoming home for me and Jeff and Claire and Benjamin -- and for lots of friends and family. Please come visit!

Deborah, I'm so excited for you. You could make wonderful art anywhere but with a studio like this to work in I can see HUGE things for you. How can one not be inspired by bright beautiful surroundings. Texas here you come, and lucky for them....DeeP.S. no need to respond, I know you must be in a packing frenzy....

Wow.. Nice home. It looks a little bit like mine. I hope they are building it with 2 AC units (one for the first floor, and one for the second). It's one of the things I wished they'd done to this house.

Glad to the house progressing.

Is that brick on the pallets? What a wonderful studio - a clean, well-light place to make art - wheee!

This looks gorgeous! I love houses with that slanty A-line front...like a fairy tale house. My house has a similar pointy front and I love it! (I'll have to post a pic one of these days.) May you live happily ever after there! And I can't wait to see how the studio will look. Looks like you'll have great space and a lot of light.
