It's the last day of Advent.
We've got just a bit more "preparation" to do today. We're making white chili and cranberry pudding for dinner. Also need to make strata and pull-apart rolls for tomorrow's breakfast. Grandma is teaching Claire to knit and Benjamin has turned a set of markers into "cars" and is racing them in the foyer.
The Advent tree is becoming a much-loved tradition. It's the third year I've decorated a tree for the kids filled with goodies for each day. Plus, we try to talk a lot about the trip that Mary and Joseph made from Nazareth to Bethlehem and the trips we make in our own lives.
Purple is the traditional color for Advent and I really wanted to focus on Advent rather than the traditional green and red for Christmas.
Wishing you a wonderful day of preparation for whatever you are celebrating in your life.

And you do love the color purple - right? This is a lovely tradition. We are snowed in and will not get to church tonight. I have not been for the last two Sundays. I love advent and it has been difficult.
A blessed Christmas to all of you.
What a lovely tradition and a beautiful tree.
