Can you stand a bit more Maine?
After driving up from Boston, I spent Saturday evening with Hannah and her family. First, Hannah and I headed out for a few quick errands. First stop: Veggie Corner, the neighborhood market.
Small town Maine in every wonderful way.
Then a quick stop to "Low's Cove" where Hannah has collected tons of sea glass. (And then organized it by color and shape. I should have taken a picture of THAT.)
I found a few bits of glass and pottery and an old fork.
Then we went to the Black Sheep Wine shop. Seriously, how amazing. The name, the lights, the wreath, the flowers....
We even bought fresh dill goat cheese and crackers. Delish.
Hannah's house is warm and welcoming and inspiring in so many ways: the art and the spirit. Look at this wonderful vignette.
The red quilt just about the chair is a piece that Hannah and I collaborated on and was published in Quilting Arts magazine. You can read more about it here.
We didn't see Hannah's *boyfriend* who has a home in Harpswell. But her HUSBAND made stuffed shells for dinner and was a generous and charming host with great taste in music. McDreamy doesn't compare.

oh you are making me homesick for maine. I didn't get to go back this summer. That looks like a VERY old fork, the tines are so narrow. I have several old family forks from the 1800's that do not look that old.
