Ornaments for all my friends!

Here are the finished ornaments. (I posted an "in progress" photo a couple of days ago.)

I think they turned out pretty cute. Unique, a bit crafty, a bit funky...

One of my dear friends from Florida always wrapped Christmas gifts with beautiful ribbon. I stashed every snippet in my big ribbon box and I use bits and pieces for all kinds of projects. And I always think of her.

A green spool!

Here they are all packaged up for the ornament swap.

I also made one for each of the Frayed Edges. They had their December meeting yesterday and it was delight to chat with them on the phone. Some presents have made their way down to Dallas too! I'll blog about those later this week. Or you can check out Sarah and Kathy's blogs for their holiday reports.

As an aside... I see my bloglines sidebar is not updating with "new" blog posts on my favorite blogs. So annoying.

LOVE the spool ornaments, but I have to know: where did you get all those wooden spools (that green one is very special!)? They're awfully scarce. I like to use them for drawer and cabinet pulls in my sewing room and I find them very hard to come by.

Love the ornaments, but then I knew you would do something so cute. I am so bummed at blog roll - yet again. But then, I shouldn't be reading blogs. I should be getting my kitchen curtains done.
