Missing the Frayed Edges

The Frayed Edges met on Monday -- I sure missed being with them, but we had a delightful chat on the phone. Plus, I received some superfantastic gifts. I didn't wait one minute to open them. This amazing mini-suitcase embellished with all kind of wonderful fabrics, textures and images is from Kathy. (Of course! I bet long time readers of my blog recognize her whimsical style.) Can you see the fancy lady peeking out from the door?

There were several little goodies packed inside the case including some gingerbread cookies for the kids. (Which tasted wonderful with my coffee. Yes, I swiped a few.) Also some felt beads from Artgirlz. I guess everyone has noticed my Artgirlz obsession.

And Sarah sent this amazing apron. Really... it is so excellent. And there were goodies in all those pockets too! Such clever friends.

The apron wraps all the way around so if I might bump into a piece of wet canvas or something in the messy kitchen, I'm totally protected. Surely, you've noticed the "frayed edges." I hope Sarah will post pictures of everyone in their aprons on her blog.

Hey, you can also see my new haircut and my new super-dark Levi's.

You look great, your hair looks great, love the jeans! Tell Benjamin that he has a budding future as a professional photographer!

It was SO wonderful to talk with you from Kath's! I am hoping to get a Mac and learn how to do the on-line photo / video phone kinda thing so we can actually SEE each other when we are together! Don't you love the internet?

HUGS, Sarah

Love your haircut! And I'm always in search of the perfect pair of jeans - I may have to hunt down a pair of those dark Levi's!

You look adorable in that apron. So nice that you are staying connected to your Maine friends.

I'm thinking that apron was meant for me....which would explain why it wraps all the way around you!

I have a package for Benjamin but I need to send something for Claire too. Hope she likes Beanies.....
