Free!

Jeff took this picture when he was in El Salvador this summer. I just love it. It's so contempo and serene. I love the lines, shapes, colors and composition. (I did amp up the color a bit in photoshop. Don't you love the orange columns contrasting with the blue pool?)

You can click on this picture for a larger and more complete view. I don't know why blogger is cutting off the bottom part of the picture.

And, of course, it goes without saying that I am obsessed with that stone wall. (I haven't written about stones in quite some time. But, long time readers of my blog know that I love love love rocks.)

I just ordered a 16 x 20 print of this picture to hang in our downstairs powder bath. We've added a few Mexican details -- tin framed mirror, painted pottery light switch cover and soap dispensor. Even though this photo doesn't have quite the same feel as the other pieces... I think we've got a whole Central American thing going on there. Plus...

I had a coupon for a free 16 x 20 print! And you too can get a free print (and other free junk) if you have a husband who drinks Diet Coke at the rate of about a 12 pack every day or so. You just have to enter the special codes into the Coke website, earn points and go shopping from their points catagories. (I also got a subscription to House Beautiful magazine.)

So, when you come visit, you'll get to see this cool photo in the bathroom and I'll be happy to serve you a cold refreshing Diet Coke.

Snippets
I hate pledge week on NPR radio. Seriously, why are they teasing me with the idea that the pledge drive could end a day early if they just reach their goal ahead of time?! This drives me crazy, because, of course, they never reach their goal. And they can't make me feel guilty for listening to 15 minutes of Fresh Air with Terry Gross without calling in because I made my annual pledge last spring. Grumble.

Nice to see the polar bear again on LOST!

Believe it or not, our local NPR station has ended their campaign early several times. It CAN be done!

Thanks for the warning about pledge week. This usually shows up when I am knee deep in studio work and need to be soothed by NPR. Damn. I will have to get a book on tape for the duration.

O and I had the same thing happen to a photo I wanted to post, cut in half by Blogger. Wierd.

Deborah, I just don't think I can do it this season...I watched LOST last night and was filled with anxiety after for about 30 mintues after it went off...the first season I didn't miss a one...but just don't think I can go through it again...and THE NINE looks like its in the same vein...do you watch that one also? I didn't dare for fear of getting hooked.

Our PBS station does that too - having pledge drives. They will show the really good shows then, and of course break in every few minutes to request a pledge.
The pictures don't appear cut off to me. The larger picture has the same view as the smaller one. I use IE 6.0.
