How's This For A Plan?

I like this skirt from the Boden fall line. (As if fall will be arriving in Texas anytime soon. Not!)

When I saw it, the first thing that entered my mind was, "I could totally make that." And if I ever get out from under my enormous "to do" list, I just might.

I could start with this skirt from Kohl's.

I know, it's not the same color. But, actually I'll just be using the Boden skirt as "inspiration." My version will have fewer flowers and not so many colors.

And when (and if) I make this skirt, I can assure you that my husband will not be standing beside me wearing red pants and a blue sweater.

ah, but "catalog spouse's" clothes so match the colors of the flowers in the skirt. Will your husband's clothes compliment your skirt?

yeah, my hubby's wouldn't either...

Thanks for a good giggle.

You could totally make that, and yours would be totally cooler because the leaves would look like your little trees on your post cards, and be green and purple, and there would be lovely hand stitched details.

Yeah hopefully your husband has better taste in clothes. Or you do, if you do the buying. THat's a great idea though to take a plain skirt and jazz it up a little bit. The one is a little bit wild for me, but in more muted colors, I think I would like it.
