Lest you think it's been all fun and games and family outings lately, I thought I'd write about some of the stuff going on in my studio.
Frayed Edges meets a week from Friday and I've got five things I want to accomplish before then.
1. My contribution to Sarah's round robin book. DONE. Pictures will be posted after we share.
2. Remount Blessing Arch, Flourish and Creative Spirit on stretched canvas. Canvas has been purchased.
3. Make some serious progress on the Branch Out series. Stamping and hand embroidery added. One piece pillowcased and quilting began. See below.
4. Read and do the exercise for chapter 3 in Meech book. (Since I blew it off for our last meeting.) Progress on this one... I think the book is still on the shelf.
5. Continue on the fiber collage that I shared "in progress" last time. Progress? I've been thinking about it. That counts, doesn't it?
There are 6 of these Branch Out quiltlets. I'm feeling anxious about the quilting. I just need to get them under the needle and hope for the best.
I'm also taking a class from Rosalie Dace on Saturday. We hear she is a great story teller. I'll report back.

The Branching Out piece you showed us is coming along nicely - I especially like the composition on this. The tiny fushia squares made me smile, and the stamping and embroidery show serious promise. I'm looking forward to seeing this finished.
Am I right in assuming that the stamp is your own from scratch?
Branching out is great - I want to see the rest in the series! Today the munchkkin's leave and maybe I can get back to the studio or get my studio back!!
I love the colors, it looks beautiful. Cant wait to see finished product
Branching Out is a personal favorite...remember how I love leaves. Can't wait to see more of the series.
This is really looking good! Can't wait to see what you do for the rest of them!
Yhis is beautiful. Love to see it "grow". Jen
