It was incredibly fun. Taught by a woman from Germany, we all made pumpkins that are just so very cute. My pumpkin has a stem and a leaf attached, also from wool. We were able to make whatever we wanted to in the two hour class. So when I was done with the pumpkin, I made one larger leaf for it to sit on. It was great fun and I fear that I have found yet another hobby. I bought a needle and several colors of roving. Christmas ornaments are on my to do list now.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9567735.post-38156638315844049692008-11-09T14:58:00.000-05:002008-11-09T14:58:00.000-05:00great loot! i'm waiting to see the Art Quilt Studi...great loot! i'm waiting to see the Art Quilt Studios magazine...isn't Interweave doing that one also?Karodahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12659789966973636488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9567735.post-1909775349466568182008-11-07T17:11:00.000-05:002008-11-07T17:11:00.000-05:00I tend to make the ornaments as the holidays roll ...I tend to make the ornaments as the holidays roll round and then set it aside until the next year. But I think there are lots of ways to play with the basic idea. I am now thinking felted eggs for easter could be fun.

I am wishing I had picked up the portraits book in houston, that one is awesome. I will just have to order it and a few more for xmas presents. Did you look in the gallery section of mixed media mania? My sister Deb and I have an apron we did together for Cheryl and Debbi. That apron was the beginning of my mixed media fabric technique.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06858569382699600146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9567735.post-58211363314098199692008-11-07T16:09:00.000-05:002008-11-07T16:09:00.000-05:00good loot! mine pales in comparison.. but the insp...good loot! mine pales in comparison.. but the inspiration is the best part isn't it?Natalya Khorover Aikenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08490493432155941262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9567735.post-5550916223468526772008-11-07T14:01:00.000-05:002008-11-07T14:01:00.000-05:00The vintage fabric looks like a painting!
